Vocational School — UFA Heinrich Nessel
France · Boarding supervisor — 80 students (15-21)

As Boarding Supervisor at Lycée Heinrich Nessel, I had the opportunity to manage a group of around 80 young people aged 15 to 21.
My role was not only to provide educational supervision but also to look after their overall wellbeing. Each evening I worked to create a setting conducive to learning while organising varied activities — from sport to games, outings and group projects.
My aim was to foster a friendly, dynamic atmosphere while supporting each boarder through their personal challenges. This experience developed a great capacity for listening, sharp group-management skills and a careful attention to individual needs, while reinforcing the group's cohesion.
“A successful boarding school is one where a young person chooses to stay for the evening rather than leave.”
